An Incredible Gift

12 December 2016

Brand New Drum Kit

Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy would like to extend an enormous amount of gratitude to Sean and everyone behind the Let’s Buy A Kid A Musical Instrument concert held at Brush Park Bowling Club on November 6th. The event raised over $980 in donations and raffles. Using these funds, Sean and the team (including Alexie, Al, Stan, Johnny, Jim & Chris) restored a drum kit, custom built the snare while the cymbals added the final touches to the kit. The entire kit is now proudly set up at our Kingswood clinic. In addition we also received a spare cymbal, cymbal stands and a box of drum sticks.
This very kind gift will bring such joy to so many of our clients and allow our RMT’s to incorporate this new drum kit into a wider number of therapy sessions.
As you can see from the photo, you can’t dull the smiles on the team as (from right to left) Akino, Steve, Belinda, Lydia and our kind installer Sean put the kit through its paces.
Once again, heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this gift a reality.
If you would like to help donate, raise donations or would like to chat about how you can play a part in the ongoing support of the amazing work our Registered Music Therapists carry out, please email us at attention Steve Gunther.
