Who We Are
When Noro began providing clinical programs over two decades ago, the perception of music therapy (and its benefit) was limited. But we knew we were doing something significant and valuable for many people.
Today, we are at the forefront of music therapy, widely regarded as exemplars in our field, and innovators in how we operate. Each week over 1300 people access the wide range of music therapies we provide.
And we continue to expand our services to support the growing number of people (from small children to adults over 100 years old) who rely on the evidence-based therapies we provide. Our newest platform, Noro Online, uses interactive technology to provide pre-produced, music therapy sessions in situations where face-to-face access would be impractical due to distance or quarantine.
Our services include Individual and Group sessions available at Noro clinics in Kingswood, Penrith, Glenbrook, Richmond and Annangrove. We also partner with early learning centres, schools, day programs, hospitals, community support services and nursing homes to run outreach programmes across the greater Sydney region.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life.
The NDIS will help people with disability achieve their goals, including independence, community involvement, education, employment and health and wellbeing.
As an insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life.
The NDIS also provides people with disability; their family and carers with information and referrals to existing support services in the community.
Noro is an NDIS Certified Provider. Clients eligible for NDIS support can access funding for Noro services.
